Education
These services are offered in the out of school setting and are structured to strengthen the academics of our members.

  • Tutoring and Homework support
  • Cultural activities are offered and give children the opportunity to learn and explore cultural traditions, arts, drama and literature.
  • Personal development in the areas of life and social skills.
  • Guest speakers including Career and Motivational speakers

Enrichment
These services are offered to complement the education and life skills of our members. It further exposes them to an enhanced learning experience and personal development.

  • YMCA Teen Achievers - partnership with YMCA to assist Black, Hispanic and other youth grades 6th-12th in preparing, pursuing and achieving post-secondary education and career goals.
  • R.E.A.D.Y. (REARING ENTREPRENEURS AND ASSISTING DEDICATED YOUTH) - exposing Middle and High School youth to entrepreneurship possibilities through Education, Job Exposure, Entrepreneurial Experience Tours and Entrepreneurial Mentors.
  • Y.B.A. Young Black and Action - partnership with Y.B.A. Drummers and Dance group
  • Personal development in the areas of life and social skills
  • Central Florida PALGuest speakers including Career and Motivational speakers

Diversion
These services are offered in support of our overall mission to prevent juvenile delinquency to at risk youth and intervention services of youth introduced to the Juvenile Justice System.

  • Take P.R.I.D.E. Mentoring

Youth mentoring program that strengthens and expands mentoring and dropout prevention services to at-risk/high-risk youth populations. The goal is to support active positive youth development activities and provide greater opportunities for individual/group mentoring and academic achievement.


Sports and Recreation
These services are offered to get youth physically active, promote health and wellness, sports and recreational activities.

  • Leisure Activities encompass a wide range of activities such as playing pool in the game room to intramural basketball in the gymnasium. All activities are directed toward teaching the children life management skills.
  • Instructional Sports encompass activities that are designed to introduce a child to a new sport such as baseball, soccer, tennis, or golf. Members are taught the fundamental rules of these games and then they are given instruction regarding the various techniques used to execute play.
  • Competitive Sports encompasses activities which allow members to become a part of a team that competes against other teams in the community, around the city, and throughout the entire state.

These programs are held at City of Orlando's, Northwest Community Center on 3955 W.D. Judge Drive Orlando, Florida 32808. Near Highway 50 West and John Young Parkway.
